How Much Does a Wedding Photographer Cost in Manchester? (2026 Guide)


If you are planning a wedding in Manchester, photography is probably one of the first things you are budgeting for, and one of the hardest to compare. Prices online range from a few hundred pounds to several thousand, and it is not always clear what you actually get. As a Manchester wedding photographer, I want to make this simple and transparent.

The average cost in the UK

According to Bridebook’s 2026 Wedding Report, the average couple in the UK spends around £1,484 on their wedding photographer. Outside London, most couples spend roughly £1,300–£1,500. That is a useful benchmark, but the right price for you depends on how much of the day you want covered.

• Hours of coverage. A short ceremony needs a couple of hours; a full day from preparations to the first dance needs eight or more.

• Number of edited photos. Every image is individually edited, so more photos means more time after the wedding.

• Second photographer. Useful for bigger weddings, or if you want both of you photographed while getting ready.

• Travel. Venues outside Manchester and Liverpool may add a travel charge.

• Experience and style. You are paying for someone who can guide you calmly, handle difficult light and still capture real emotion.

You want the whole story:


the History Collection covers everything, including speeches, the first dance and the party.

Many couples also add a pre-wedding photoshoot (£250). It is a relaxed way to get used to the camera before the big day.
